New funding awarded for cancer and cardiovascular disease research

Funding for a collaboration between University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire, University of Warwick and the University of Birmingham to improve breast cancer reconstruction was awarded to Mr Janak Bechar.

Dr Scott McGuire, working from Health and Life Sciences, Coventry University is being supported in his research to making kidney dialysis safer.

Miss Agnieszka Nagorska, a PhD student at Warwick Med School has funding for modelling infection susceptibility to Covid19.

Dr Hejie He, a Clinical Research Fellow and his team at the University Hostipal Coventry and Warwickshire, will analyse multiple parameters in type 2 diabetes patients having Sodium Glucose Co-Transporter (SGLT-2) therapy with a Medical and Life Sciences Research Fund bursary.
